echo elitere

Come to me in the silence of the night;
Come in the speaking silence of a dream;
Come with soft rounded cheeks and eyes as bright
As sunlight on a stream;
Come back in tears,
O memory, hope, love of finished years.

Oh dream how sweet, too sweet, too bitter sweet,
Whose wakening should have been in Paradise,
Where souls brimfull of love abide and meet;
Where thirsting longing eyes
Watch the slow door
That opening, letting in, lets out no more.

Yet come to me in dreams, that I may live
My very life again tho’ cold in death:
Come back to me in dreams, that I may give
Pulse for pulse, breath for breath:
Speak low, lean low,
As long ago, my love, how long ago.

    In every single experience that we live, lies regret and the curiosity or even need to return to a memory, a moment, a though or event that we all lived, and most probably left unresolved, or we would like to change. Even if none of the above apply, sometimes we desire to return to those bittersweet moments lived, maybe the memory of a lover, or a family member that passed away. But, of course, I can’t avoid to look at this piece as one related to hte memory of a lover, maybe someone that, even if it all ended in bitter goodbyes, the memorie3s that flood our memories are that of happiness and completion, which makes us want to revive that moment, that single moment that linked us to our past, and continue reliving our path, to see… whatever you’d like to see.

    I will share a song that, to me, says so much of us as humans, our minds and heart and what we consider on doing in order to enlighten ourselves and answer the billion dollar question: Did I took the right choice?

      We’ll overlook the typos this one time since you left the link to a pretty song :). I was also thinking about how it feels to lose a lover and everything that is left behind once someone you once loved passed away.
