Sometimes you just need
to shut down your computer,
to go outside…
dance like a wild child,
laugh into the sunshine,
walk bare-foot on the grass
or take your lover or best friends
on a spontaneous trip.
For me, friendship is not a number,
but a strong bond,
a feeling of belonging and trust.
Sometimes you just need
to be close to the ones you love,
to hear their soothing voices,
to talk about serious things without feeling ashamed,
but also to have fun and not regret it.

Alina, this is beautiful. I felt as if you were talking to me, and that is saying something. Your poem touched me, gave me wonderful memories, made me see my cravings and needs in life. It has a magic of its own. Thank you for this magnificent piece.
Much love! 😀
Thank you, Noexis, I’m so happy that you enjoyed it! It’s not a crafted poem like others I wrote, but it’s a little piece of thought for my friends, whom I love and I long for their presence. Work or studies disable us to see each other often, but when we meet, time flows wonderfully. 🙂
I send you lot of love from my part! :*
Love you, my dear! :* Abia aștept să ne vedem, să punem țara la cale.
Me too, my darling! :*
It’s very true. Life creates physical distance between us and our friends. But if the bond is solid, once the oportunity is set, you enjoy and collect every second spent with our friends. We learn to cherish them.
Your friends are fortunate to have someone like you by their side.
At least that’s what Elena says, and she doesn’t lie. 😀
You pin pointed very well the message of my poem. Indeed, distance strengthens the bound and we learn to cherish every moment. 🙂 I’m also fortunate to have a friend like Elena, who taught me a lot of things. I actually wrote a poem, a few years ago, in order to show my gratitude to her. It’s called “Antithesis” – maybe you have already read it on this site.
My soulmate has spoken! 🙂
It’s a lovely metaphor, dearie! I love you too! :* >:D<
