Last time you told me
that you want to spread your wings and fly away
to an unknown place,
leaving me behind.
It’s all fine with me,
because I got used of being surprised in a bad way
by the people I care for.
If you go South or across the Ocean
it’s totally the same for me,
because distance (either big or small) kills feelings.
I cannot object against your decision,
but I wonder if I’ve ever meant anything to you.
I understood that you couldn’t love me the way I did,
but do you think it’s okay
to break the bond of such a friendship
and leave it bleed to death?
I suspect you of being selfish lately,
however, you can do whatever you please;
so go ahead and fly away!
I’ll stay here to mend the broken pieces as always…
