Female ambiguity and expectations

April 7, 2014

A young maiden runs aimlessly
through the dusty chambers
of a deserted castle;
she chose to live in isolation,
for people mock of her intelligence.

She longs for a saviour,
but no one could rise above her expectations;
she needs more than an opened door,
more than a morning ray,
more than artificial conversations,
more than doubtful caresses,
and more than pathetic promises.

Will the darkness blind her?
Will the dust of time asphyxiate her?
Will she find a way to escape that loathsome prison?
