Motto: “Your desire is your prayer. Picture the fulfillment of your desire now and feel its reality and you will experience the joy of the answered.” (Dr. Joseph Murphy)
My sorrow and my impossible love stories
pushed me to recall my fairy from childhood,
who always made my wishes come true.
She appeared with her long golden hair and her magic wand
and I asked her if I could create my perfect lover,
for most of the men I’ve met aren’t exactly what I’m searching for.
She smiled, understanding my wish,
and shook the wand, covering my room in magic powder,
then a potter’s wheel popped from nowhere
and an immense dough of clay,
which resembled a small ochre planet.
I was a shocked for a moment,
but my fairy told me to go ahead and work for my dream;
and so I began materializing my ideal man, imagining the final product:
shaping his legs I felt his strength,
building his chest I could hear his heartbeats
and his lungs inspiring my smell at night,
shaping his hands I knew he will hold me tight and will never let me go,
touching his locks I could sense his intellectual activity, that hid under his forehead
and caressing his face I swore he was my earthly guarding angel.
After I finished, the fairy blew star powder towards him
and told me to wait until morning
for the magic to take place,
then she disappeared like a lovely dream,
leaving me to wonder about the ideal man whom I’ve shaped.
Falling asleep I wish that tomorrow I’ll wake up wrapped in his arms…
